Conservation Education Center

The Solano Resource Conservation District Conservation Education Center is located at 6390 Lewis Road in Vacaville CA.

The Conservation Education Center is open to the public Monday through Friday from 9am - 12pm, during our Fall and Spring Native Plant Sales and Conservation Fairs (on specified Saturdays), or by appointment.

Solano RCD uses the center to raise native plants which are sold to District landowners at very low costs.  The purpose of our Native Plant Program is to establish wildlife habitat, prevent soil erosion and reduce water consumption on private property.

The Conservation Education Center also has a demonstration garden at the site, as well as an office and barn which are used to facilitate a variety of educational programs.

Many local volunteer organizations use the center as a "home base" for their conservation related service programs.
