Solano County Weed Management Area
Solano Resource Conservation District is an active member of the Solano County Weed Management Area (WMA). The Solano County WMA is working group comprised of representatives from the following organizations, all of whom are dedicated to reducing invasive weed populations in Solano County:
The Solano County WMA previously secured funding that resulted in the mapping of invasive weeds across more than 400,000 acres within Solano County. During that process the Solano County WMA identified the following weeds for priority control efforts:
The Solano County WMA recently received grant funding to eradicate isolated populations of Arundo donax and Red sesbania within Cache Slough and the Sacramento River.
