Our goal for our outdoor environmental education programming is for all students to be:

Engaged

Students are involved in peer discussion, experience moments of wonder and connection to the natural world, and they actively participate in hands-on activities.

Successful

Programming fosters social-emotional success through feelings of belonging within the natural world and the learning community. Students have an enjoyable experience and gain a desire to return to nature. Participants demonstrate academic growth through their ability to answer program assessment questions.

Environmentally literate

Students are supported in gaining skills and experiences to help them confidently navigate in and understand their connection to local outdoor environments and resources, to the end goal of facilitating lifelong stewardship.

We seek to foster learning experiences in which all students feel welcome, accepted, and supported as they engage with nature and each other. It is the goal of Solano RCD Education staff to facilitate environments where every participant feels free and safe to be their authentic self.

Solano Resource Conservation District does not discriminate based on race, religion, color, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, national origin, veteran status or any other status covered by local, state, or federal law.
